What would he be doing since 1978 had he not any fans? Any business OWES its existance to its customers. Fans are Prince's customers. He keeps thinking he can put out a lame product, not promote it, treat his fanbase like shit, and still complain he's not selling as much as he wanted (or as much as many LESS talented artists who really know how to run their business). Prince earned his fans by starting to make awesome music and performing more than excellent 30+ years ago. He didn't get fans because we felt like giving him some attention, no, it was like, shit, who's that guy, can I buy his shit??? I NEED his shit. He didn't force us! Prince has been there looooong time ago, he's almost a dinosaur. Prince has made delicious music, pampered us, treated us very well and now, he's an older man who's idea's are slowly drying up. It's ok I think, he has had his time and he still amazes us live. I've spend so much money on him, when he was good and it was all my money worth, I regret nothing. Nowadays his music is so so and be honest, it doesn't cost anything. His previous cd was for free and what is 12 dollars for 3 cd's, come on. His last tour, the 21 nights weren't expensive and the rest of his music gets downloaded for FREE. The site, well, I was NPGMC member and when the Lotusflower site came I didn't join, after so many sites, why would this be better. A brain is there to be used. I've written it here many times, I really don't understand why people are so angry with Prince. It's such a simple concept, you like his (or someone else's) music you buy his stuff, you don't like him, you don't buy anything. Are you somewhere in between? You can get all of his stuff for free.
