lotusflow3r.com ambiant music

This music still being on the site (and the site having become an odd piece of contemporary/conceptual art), i realize how much i loved this little ambiant loop from day one.

This kind of weird but clever experimental things is EXACTLY what i'd love Prince to do next!!!

I agree. That's why I thought "Purple & Gold" was kinda cool. It was just so out there and weird.

Speaking of incidental/background music, there was a track that played in the background on the Interactive CD. I think it was played in the hallways. It had a "Screams of Passion" midtempo vibe to it. I always loved that little loop. smile

There was that guy who looped the loop and made a 60 minute bootleg of it. I guess it still can be found on one of the casual sites...

Go for it, it's freaking awesome.
I had it on repeat for almost 2 weeks.

If you're using IE, or have downloadhelper plugin for Firefox, you can grab that MP3. It's actually called "ambient loop.mp3".

That piece of shit will be included in the forthcoming crappy outtake compilation by Eye Records, which will also take advantage of Box O'Chocolates (Losers!!).

I thought this ambient loop was NOT Prince. Didn't someone state that this "music" was found on some other cd or website?

:crosses fingers:

lol I hope so. I love the way people love (let's face it) random noises, if there's a chance Prince created it. If it does end up not being him, people will discard it for the noise that it really is.

Prince uses a lot of stock music stingers and samples and compositions for his songs, albums, and websites... so it might not be original. Supposedly he'll just let an engineer or someone find things that fits his description or intent to add to the mix.

But he also uses a lot of his own stuff (even unreleased stuff) as elements.

I actually didn't understand a word of what you said, that's why wink lol

I have no clue who Eye Records are or what they do (though now that i think of it i guess they're people making profit outta previously recorded boots?) so your comment sounded a bit like "yeah this fucker Barack Obama is gonna use this intrumental on his next lullabies CD so he can have his kids sleep at night (loser !)" falloff

Nope, it was even Ascaped according to someone here (i haven't checked myself). On the other hand the incidental music from the Interactive CD-Rom WAS composed by someone else (as well as the incidental music from the Beautiful Experience and 3 Chains O' Gold films)

I actually listen to a lot of "random noises" (which actually are anything but randomish) by other artists, so i'd still love it anyway cool

Yep, and he went a bit too far when he used Delia Derbyshire's composition 'Clouds' for the intro of Eye No on the Lovesexy album.

WITHOUT crediting her. And now he's the anal one when it comes to getting credits...

^^Yes, but using stock music is in my book a bit cheeky for someone who claims to be all about being original.

At least he could have credited her.
