I think he should charge about $77. And have classic videos such as kiss available to watch. Also, after a year it should close with no announcement, and have a plain black homepage.

Personally, I think Prince has tired over internet sites. NPGMC was excellent for it's time; however I believe wants total control over his music and does not want to release anything until it is polished and in his view perfect. He is not interested in past material and is constantly looking to the future. This is his strength and his weakness.

I would LOVE to see a site with soundboard recordings from his live performances, but it's never gonna happen. This would really be the way to repay the hardcore fanbase as it is one thing we have been clamouring over for years. I can't ever see it happening, however thankfully there are plenty of other sources to get the candy from wink

It's a shame that such a prolific performer with such a colourful history of music has such a poor internet prescence. It is what it is....

Princetunes.com

every single prince song ever released in an organised manner (similar to Stevie Wonder's Collection on itunes, but even better!).

With new songs released in a separate page to highlight their "newness",

you may sample the track then choose to download whole album or individual tracks.

Undercut itunes prices.

outsource it to a company that can do it proper justice.

FLAC, WAV or MP3 (320 kbits)

Sort out the WB problems to make this happen.

upload albums like Roadhouse Garden, The Dawn, Madrid 2 chicago (with artwork/liner notes)

get a genie in a lamp.

How about a collective agreement to not buy anything direct from Prince again until he actually shows us what's for sale?

You know, kinda like they do in ... stores.

I think P should back off having another site. Too many problems and not enough for some people. I was fine with the NPG Music Club but that's never going to exist again. Would love if it did.

Agreed.

Artist sites are usually full of news, the occasional blog entry, promo pictures, a store, etc. Prince has no clue how to do that anymore. He's more interested in how much flash content he can create and how mystical he can make it.

It's a bit ironic that Prince wants to bring you into his universe on a website, but he'll fucking sue your ass if you dare put up his all-too-beloved symbol (that he stole, not created) on your personal website. It's all very "My Way or the Highway".

It's weird he can't make a site like every other artist and offer the same things, because he's continued to copy other trends (especially in his music), yet with a simple website, it's all about the $$$$.

It's almost like his websites become his way of getting reparations.
