What might happen? Cause and Effect:

Maybe he feels that when he was younger he left "himself" and became someone he wasn't because he didn't believe that he could make it by being the "one of himselves" that he thought he was. His angel/demon challenge that some of us go through. Maybe deep down back then he didn't think he could really make his dream come true? Just a thought.
I don't understand the part ... "if i could leave myself just 1 little note one that husbands and fathers wrote it say 'you need to be a superstar or grow up, but not both' Is he talking about receiving conflicting advice? I will give you my personal opinion... I think he is regretting his attempts to "grow up" - i.e. get married and try to have kids. Since all of that was a failure for him, he is telling himself in the past to either go all out and be a superstar and forget all the marriage and kids stuff or try to grow up and not play the part of superstar. Good advice I think... | |
