Printable[color=violet]I am definitely a fan..have been for almost 30 years, and still counting..never missed a concert,in what ever state I lived in. Love this man for life. Prince is definitely a friend in my head, his music is so deeply embedded in my senses that just the mention of anything regarding him or his music sends me into a tizzy. My friends can attest to this they know when it comes to Prince I don't play around,I have to be right there, whether he is on TV, Arenas, specials etc.,will not miss presentation by this oh so gifted and spiritual artist.When I was younger I would dance around in my apartment and pretend to be on stage with Prince, a member of his band, and dreamt and thought how fabulous it would be for him to pick me from the crowd to perform on stage with him..and quess what purple people..it happened at his Musicology Tour in Uniondale, NY..thats right he pointed me out and called me on stage. After that experience I knew that all things are possible through GOD. Who would have thought that would happen. I haven't been the same since.[/u] traceyc | |

All I can say is that I wouldn't find Prince to be as smart as I used to if he doesn't want 2 marry me.  I hope you can somehow meet/know him one day. And believe me, I'm not being sarcastic. I've never seen anyone as steadfast as you regarding serious, non-insane love for Prince as a person. Damn...what ever happened to just being a good old fan? Now we have to put all kinds of labels on it? Now u have to analise how dedicated u are as to how much of a fan or fam u are?? And if ure not a big enough "fan" the fams are allowed to slap u down and if u arent a big enoug fan, or have enough knowledge other fans and fams alike can attack u and make u feel like ure an idiot?

My favourite prince song is the most beautiful girl in the world. I have 4 prince dvds aswell. Ive got purple rain, under the cherry moon, graffitti bridge and rave un2 the year 2000. dont know how many prince albums ive got though but i was brought up on him. I had a rabbit named after him but it was a girl so i called her princess. I also have a prince book and a mini symbol guitar (what i got for my birthday 3 years ago) [Edited 3/4/10 19:17pm] | |

I think fan/fam are the same thing. It's all semantics. There are degrees to the level of fan/fam that's all. They are just words...the meaning of each is different for everybody. | |

Based on several definitions on this blog, I can not say that I am "fam" only because I do criticize his music on a regular basis; however, I do normally enjoy all of it - even the stuff you guys think stinks?! (I loved Chaos & Disorder - mad Prince is always good Prince!)
So I am a fan but I lean close to the "fam" edge, so to speak - lol. | |
