Not sure if this is the right forum... but someone some months ago kept posting a link to purchase a bootleg copy of One Nite Alone - Paris DVD. I normally would steer clear of this but for some reason I placed an order through Paypal. I figured for $12.99 it wouldn't be the end of the world if I never saw the DVD.

After not receiving the DVD in the mail when it was announced that it would arrive I finally sent some emails. The person whose paypal account accepted the money was none other then the journalist Gene Geter (Yes the same man who has interviewed and has written extensive pieces on Prince)

The emails remained unanswered so finally I filed a grievance with Paypal. I explained about the link to paypal and how emails had gone unanswered and I had not seen the DVD. Within a few days I received a full refund from Gene Geter with no explanation.

What this says to me is that those of you who ordered the DVD are never going to see it and you might as well file a complaint with paypal.

I just wanted to add that the staff of Prince.org kept removing the posts so they had nothing to do with the sale of the Paris DVD.

I had the same thing happen to me. No response from Gene so I filed a complaint with paypal and finally got a refund. I 'm glad he refunded but was pissed that he never responded to my e-mails.
