Prince's music has kind of always been a good escape from the real world bullshit in life. And that includes sports. To all the kids that got picked on in gym class and DESPISED sports, they could go home and put on Dirty Mind and feel like a rebel and build their own confidence and say "fuck the jocks". But then to find out that their hero is also in sports kind of kills that fantasy, leaving them feeling even more alone. Then on the other hand, it's not really a big deal. | |
