More Prince Backwards Masking So we know a lot of the backwards stuff Prince has done on albums. But tonight, I was jamming to The B-Sides tonight, and had them cranked up in my headphones. As "Irresistible Bitch" came on, something didn't sound right. The whole intro, especially the 2nd section before the first verse seemed..different. I heard a voice, I know I did. Rewind, listen 20 more times volume up more each take. Then I just recorded the beginning of the track, and reversed it. Sure enough, Prince is singing/talking "I want you....I want you.....irresistible bitch.....irresistible bitch.....oh I want you".
Not sure if that's ever been brought up here before, but it's new to me. Of course I also just noticed he said "A deeper voices answers....". I always thought he said, "A different voice answers..." Go figure. | |

I think at one time or another i reversed songs like the segue before The Beautuful ones (live syracuse ny) The dream factory ionto The Girl crying (purple rain movie) Strawberry shortcake (sheila E) Dez Dickerson - modenair (however the u spell it) through most of teh song u hear some girl talking about the dawn... Really hard to make any of it out I think i waited a few hrs for nothing  | |

I did have a crack at that, but its so low down in the mix, its very difficult to decipher. However, it kinda goes like this; Everybody must dance on, The setting of the sun Every time it comes I go! Its all from the mind of Solomon The setting of the sun, Every time it comes I go! or summat like that?!  ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Try listening to the beginning and end of (Baby I'm a Star) backwards.You hear a bunch of female voices.Saying stuff like "Somebody fucked up man! and "Really?What the fuck do they know?"It sounds like Wendy,Lisa or Jill Jones having a conversation. | |

This isn't backwards but...
Ever notice that in "Ballad of Dorothy Parker" the part; dorothy made me laugh I felt much better so i went back to the violent room that "Back" is another, disconnected echoed voice? Love that part and other moments like it. Backwards shit too. [Edited 12/30/09 20:08pm] | |
