You're shopping and a P song comes on....

I was shopping in a thrift store on Monday just killing some time. All of a sudden, the guitar riff comes on from WDC. I started humming the song, as usual. This lady that looks to be a 60 plus year old woman, started going wild. She started singing LOUD and bobbing her head. I snickered to myself and continued to watch her. Next thing I knew, she was pushing her buggie and shaking her butt and singing. It was so funny and cute. I love it when I see people's reactions to P's music.

One time I went to the neighbourhood grocery store to pick up a few items. The store was playing a bunch of songs and then Raspberry Beret started playing. I did sing along nod

My first memory of hearing a Prince song was hearing "1999" at the shopping mall in the early 80's.

and it all started from there.....

i remember early this year, i was in a gift shop and "cinnamon girl" came on. what was so funny was that both me and the cashier were singing-along to the song, she almost gave me wrong change biggrin

I was in my classroom and my teacher had on the radio and "I Would Die 4 U" came on, I started to scream out of excitement lol it's always a shock to hear him outside of my house or on our R&B radio station.
Then "Diamonds & Pearls" came on while shopping in a grocery store, started singin along,
Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! biggrin In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

I was in Chicago's Macy's in the ginormouse shoe department when Pop Life came on
i suddenly had an urge to find some suited pumps wink

Same day in Forever 21? or maybe it was H&M.. Guitar came on. I kinda let my thoughts speak for itself and shouted out "WHOA! THIS IS PRINCE!" ..a few people looked at me, pondered, then opened their enlightened eyes and were like "wow.. whatya know..! i didn't even recognize it was him!"

That is so cool mushy

Couple of months earlier, I found out by coincidence that one of my fave instructors from this school is a Prince fanatic, not just a casual one, but a HARDCORE one lol

She was marking my quiz, and I glanced at her Ipod touch, she was putting Wonderful Ass on pause faint

When I hummed the song, her jaw dropped lol

I was in the Winn Dixie and they started playing 'Diamonds and Pearls'. Yes, I did sing out loud to the ketchup and salad dressing and didn't care who saw me. lol You gotta stop and sing along.

Another Lonely Christmas has been playing in two of our local shopping centres this Christmas season. Can't quite recall what my wife was asking me to choose - I left it up to her.
