Music should be about quality, not quantity.
I love Prince and chocolate - in that order

Any idea where he placed on the Independent chart? It would give a better picture of the album's commercial success.

Okay, back to the non-Prince thought pattern. These are the facts.

That's a good question. My guess is they compiled the list prior to her CD coming out, but it would make a lot more sense to wait until the year is over.

So Ne-yo came in earlier and Slumdog soundtrack came in after.
Enya above Prince/Lotusflower? I guess it is not only youngsters that hike up demand after all.

Most of them I don't know, though I've heard of some. Can't find Will.i.am or BEPeas there.

I bet if Prince had consolidated the 3 cds into one it would have been higher.
But he's more about bringing more music to the fans and I respect that.

All of the above fall into 3 categories of crap music dominating the chart.
(I have deleted the albums I have considered proper music and not bothered with albums 101 to 200
1. Disposable and destructive rap artists, that have 1 or 2 album rap about hos bitches, drugs, and crass materialism. Or sexually explicit R and B music thats close to rap than true soul.
2. Country and Western garbage (Usually signs of simple minded rednecks and good ole Dubya American patriotism. Or Christian fundamental AH HATE GAYS and ISLAMITES music
3. Manufactured Disney Trash acts like Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers and various idol winners/runners up.

Thats why I don't care about 'chart music' anymore. I mean how many albums has the Hannah Montana/Jonas Brothers/High School Musical franchise churned out?
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

Other than Jay Z i dont see anyone else who aren't operating without a record label taking the huge part of the cut (and I think Jay Z's is a partnership with Live Nation). But its good to see there are a handful of indie artists selling decently.
Change it one more time..

So which of these categories do you put AC/DC into?
Black Ice is a fantastic album.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
