I've never watched an episode of The Simpsons.

Over the years they have made several Prince references. I cannot remember most of them right now but one is when they have puppies and they are all eating out of bowls with names on them and as they pan over them the last two bowls say "Prince" "the puppy formally known as Prince".

me neither, South Park is great though, Simpsons is just not my kind,

but I think the song "My Name Is Bart" [their take on > "My Name Is Prince"] is a bit strange-funny.... razz

I do have every season of South Park on DVD. Wasn't sure what to think about the recent "fag" episode.

That was good. lol

It's just that the intentions to disqualify the derogatory use of the word fag may have alternately perpetuated it's use.

I know which episode you're talking about. It's the one where a "Radioactive Man" movie was being made in Springfield, and Comic Book Guy and several other nerds were trying to find info about it on the internet. It's like a Brady Bunch effect showing the different nerds, and all of a sudden Prince pops on the screen, also searching on his computer. I guess it was a joke about how Prince had websites back then (1995), I don't know. lol

There was also one where the bus drivers shoes were talking to him saying "dont worry, i wont hurt you, i only want you to have sum fun" from the start of 1999, it was words to that effect anyway

One of my favorite references to Prince on The Simpsons is when Milhouse meets "Shelbyville Milhouse". They embrace and he says, "I guess this is what it feels like when doves cry."

By the way, does anybody know why all black people on The Simpsons (and The Family Guy for that matter) are the same color brown. Is it to cut down on expense or what? I noticed Prince was the same complexion as James Brown in their world. We come in all colors! biggrin

True, but I've noticed the same thing on Family Guy. i thought maybe they were cutting costs or something? Maybe I have too much time on my hands. lol

^It's not about cutting costs, it's just how it's done. Even the white people on Family Guy aren't white. Hell, they have a baby w/ a football shaped head and a British accent. These shows aren't exactly based in reality.
