Besides the fact that John looks silly in this outfit, Prince looks alot like his dad. The only difference John aged without the help of makeup, wigs, botox and other wrinkle filling procedures.

I don't think this outfit looks silly. What's wrong with it? Good to see him naturally aged though yes. Thanks for the info thread.

I thought that sounded so terrible when I read about it, what a terrible childhood Prince had. But in many ways, those things made him the man he is today. Prince is not easily broken, and has seen many fall. He is definetly one of the tougher ones.

So, basically, the lesson here is if you want to create the next "Prince", kick your kid out at age 12, but leave him with a piano!

There's a picture of Prince and his dad coming out of a Hotel or Restaurant wearing the suits from the Parade era. Complete with High Heels.

I think it might have been elderly abuse making his father wear those heels!!!

Very interesting link to old post! I've never seen pix of Prince's parents before. And for those who think that either of those people are white are ignorant and must not know any black folks! All you have to do is look at Dad's nose to know that he is Black! My son is lighter than Prince's Dad and has the same nose, so does his Grandmother who is also light. All this ignorance surrounding "shades of Blackness" is ridiculous! Black comes in many shades, from light to dark, and it is all Beautiful!

Definitely not! lol
What you create is a control freak. Someone who never had control over their childhood, grows up with unconscious ingrained desire to control EVERYTHING the moment they can, from adulthood onwards and onwards and onwards.

But yes, if you're going to kick them out, leaving them a musical instrument is a good idea of course lol

Yes, but it seems all geniuses, or superstars, or super super rich people had something fucked up about their childhood. It seems to me if Prince wasn't abandoned as a child he would just be working in an office somewhere right now.

Well remember Prince said his dad was trying to vicariously thought him. So the outfit does not surprise me. I think John was way off the chain crazy.

Prince must have been an unruly kid if his father threw him out like I've read and heard. I cannot for the life of me THINK I would ever throw "my" son out. Kick his ass yeah, throw him out, I don't think so. You can do only so much as a parent but we all know there's more story to this.

Anywho ...

You'd kick your son's ass? That is an admission of guilt. Someone please call social services. You should never lay a hand on your child.

I'm sure Prince love'd his dad! so much..... and he does look so much like him.
I think the pick of his father is so.. sweet it's makes feel emotion ~ beautiful ..... Maybe his father seen alittle of him self in Prince.....maybe some wildness, going through his own issues. Maybe having many questions & issues. As musician can tend to have Within..... the talent can take over the need, in that stage life, being a musician is in so many ways a battle. And in that battle, he may have not made some right decisions.... But it certainly helped to shape & mold Prince as a determinded Person. To live to survive.

Yet now with time, I think Prince see his father in himself.. being the musician that he is, can now see & more, understand..... his father..... his struggles & actions doing his childhood.... and his growing years..

But I could be so wrong, yet no matter what I think or feel, that Picture is like looking at Prince ..... aged. And his father no matter what, I'm sure had much love for him, This is the Man from what I member
reading Who looked down at his (son) in a Loving adoring Proud way! Said, "His name will be/is Prince "!..... What a way to see your child even if there was some shake up times here and there..... beautiful~ Father and Son

What a way to remember ! yes
Smiling Makes Joy Come Alive........and Joy can never die .........yes
