Is this a speculative question? The image looks 'Photoshopped' as the symbol seems 2 ignore the contours of his back? My opinion? Dont do it (if ur contemplating it.) When ur 70 it wont even look like a Prince symbol anymore & u'll be relying on ur memories 2 recall ur youth anyway. Leave the branding 4 those with livestock 2 sell.

Gotta go with others here...i think it is photoshopped. I have tattoos myself (one with lots of black) but the black don't show up that bold in pics even in the brightest daylight.

IMHO, don't get it I can see a small symbol but a big one like that no. I even want a small logo of my favorite band on my back shoulder(no sorry not a symbol for Prince) I have my faves day to day etc.

Its ur choice only its ur skin just remember once done its for life.

Just my 2 cents

You're far over thinking it. Tattoo artists do what the client wants, and although it's a huge tattoo, it's not the first time someone has gotten a full back tattoo. Sure they'd ask "are you sure?", but it's still the client's decision.

As far as this picture...it's a total photoshop job. I want to see the front of this guy.

I think the small one is cool but that's awfully big. life is long, leave some room for some other tats.

You think he'd care? He got what he wanted, and they got paid. How many businesses do you think snicker or make fun of anyone walking out of their store at any given time? It happens.

Besides, I'd rather have them laughing at me for that, than the flack this guy probably gets:

Okay first.....HOT.

Second, I've thought of getting the symbol subtly worked into an arm band or something. So it's there, but it's not. You might think of something like that. I have a few things I want to work into one tatt, and the prince is one of them. Just not sure how I'm going to do it yet.

i thought about getting a symbol tattoo but it was so predictable and boring ,i came to my senses and left it alone . i just dont understand tattoos and piercings . those who have them are just like sheep doing the same as everyone else.

That's a narrow statement. It's like saying "Everyone has blond hair, how droll." Or "EVERYONE wears jeans. How boring."

I wouldn't get that big a tattoo... what happens if you start to hate Prince and his music. It would be painful getting it on and OFF. Ouch!!

i know you're kidding right? lol
i got a tat when i young & gorgeous, so i understand the urge. luckily it was small & tasteful but even that can't enhance my features these days!
it hasn't ruined my life but i'm regretful cuz tattoos are SOOO naff..even prince , just my opinion.

now my kids are talking about getting one & they think i'm being a hypocrite!
london/miami/LA ink got a lot to answer for...facinating viewing but i can't help wondering what some of these pieces will look like on old skin..
my advice to anyone wanting one would be 'what would your mum say' or just think amy winehouse if she ever makes 60

That's really a dumb statement. Tattoos and piercings have been around since the beginning of time and have been used for everything, from indentifications to personal statements. they can be outrageous or tasteful. I personally think they're cool.
