It was an NPGMC "digital single" from April 2005 with the b-side San Jose Jam.
Never released on a physical CD, but as download only from the club.

I heard that song when it came out. I think that Prince just recorded it to showcase him as a Multi-Instrumentalist.

Normally with his songs all the instruments are mixed in the track with just maybe a guitar solo.

This song had solo after solo after solo.

There was a guitar solo, a Hammond Organ solo. Which I don't remember the last time I heard a Hammon Organ in a Prince song. Since the beginning of If I Was Your Girlfriend, maybe. There was also a drum solo. Which, again I don't remember hearing in a Prince song.

Again, I think the song was recorded to showcase his skills as a Multi-Instrumentalist.

Actually, San Jose Jam was never released as a download. Both these tracks were streamed in the Glam Slam room of npgmc in October, 2004. Then, in April 2005 Glass Cutter showed up officially as a digital single.

They were the full songs from memory, but they were a really low bitrate.
