He requested it be removed. Wanted it to be of the moment and all that. Think Prince must have rubbed off on him more than he realised. wink
RIP sad

What?
The guy posted his perspective of working alongside Prince throughout his best and most prolific studio period. He gave an informed insight into what happened and how it happened, and was never in the slightest disrespectful. He brought to the table facts and laid to rest a few rumours which people had puzzled over. All with honesty and respect for Prince and his past relationship.

It's on a par with any interview you'll read in a magazine with a past band member or studio technician - it just so happened the guy chose to come in here and answer questions of his own free will.

You call it blabbing, the majority of others would call it interesting, and a rarity.

No. It's fact. You don't agree because someone you don't like (me) is disagreeing with you.

Amen to that! This was the best thread I ever read on this site--hands down! Chron Freeze also stated that he did an interview for a book that was never published about engineers in the studio, what a shame! If you want to hear Chron Freeze's house music podcast it is: jackin.podmatic.com. I have it bookmarked! He said he might Might! check in on occasion! cool

No, it wasn't ... it was interesting and I agree with thebumpsquad's analysis of his thread, but there's been far, FAR more exciting and interesting threads on this site in the past, from our own orgers. Just because he worked with Prince doesn't necessarily make his thread better than others, in fact probably less so because these people always have to be so 'careful' about what they say. Although granted, the great threads have been few and far between in recent times, but there have been some amazing ones on here. biggrin

It was a great thread. He was respectful to Prince and didn't gossip about much of anything. People who are very interested in Prince's recording and artistic processes--and there are many here--got some insight into how things went in the studio for a brief while. It was like looking at a small window in Prince's past.

As for where it went, he posted several times in that thread about how he was going to ask the mods to delete it after a week. And the moderator who locked it gave everyone more than ample warning that it was going away soon. ChronicFreeze said he wanted it taken down on Tuesday, so it really stayed up long after I thought it would.

Thank you!

Freeze's thread was one of the best things ever posted here. It was informative and respectful. He gave some great insights into Prince's tecnique and work ethic and I respect the fact that he put people in check when they got out of bounds. It was so refreshing to read about the actual creation of music rather than inappropriate questions and comments about the guy's personal life, not to mention the endless swooning, incoherent babbling and juvenile fantasizing that makes up the majority of the drivel posted in M&M.

It was way cool to read about Prince's versatility, skill and his amazing artistry from a guy who was actually there and knows his stuff. cool
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.
