WMA2009: so did Prince perform?

what happened? did anyone see World Music Awards 2009? did Prince perform??

This French online newspaper for expats says it was cancelled. I don't know? All very strange.

Postponed not means cancelled, right?

Yeah, I mean postponed, 3rd date therefore cancelled. But there were also different dates on the net which is why I said confusing.

"A lack of international stars “famous on a global scale” is believed to be behind the decision to postpone the event."--but Prince is "famous on a global scale", so maybe his mj tribute was just a rumor, he was never really scheduled to perform?

Monaco World Music Awards cancelled
Ten days before the prestigious World Music Awards were to have taken place in Monaco, the organisers announced that it has been “postponed”.

Organised in the Principality since 1989, the usually star-studded ceremony was scheduled to take place on 3 November in the exclusive Sporting d’été concert venue. World famous French DJ, David Guetta was being flown in from Paris to set the tone for the evening, and the Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce and Lady Gaga were reported to be on the bill. A lack of international stars “famous on a global scale” is believed to be behind the decision to postpone the event. Another date has yet to be fixed.

If I were Prince and I had been preparing a nice tribute and then it's gets cancelled/postponed, I'd be pretty cheesed off. It's not as if a new date would necessarily accommodate his agenda I presume.

Again, this RUMOR was squashed months ago when it first popped up.
