Face Down [Vinyl Blister Remix] question

does anybody know anything about this remix? It's not particularly great, but not awful. At least it's a different approach than most remixes. I was curious if it was just another fan remix, if it was commissioned or if it was even just an abandoned alternate mix. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Sounds like a fan release. I have both Vinyl and the CD singles for Face Down
