Howard rocks. He's not a racist, and he's actually been a pretty big Prince fan for a long time. He was, I think, the only radio outlet--the only outlet period--that Prince sent a studio version of "All Along the Watchtower/The Best of You" to. Howard's gotten a lot of mileage out of this Hotel Gansevoort story, but he's wrong about it. He still rocks, though.

I listened to a Howard stern program from a few months ago and he retold the story of how he attended a prince performance in a new York hotel.Howard said that it was not an enjoyable experience and that while he still respects prince as a musician a great deal he feels and I quote "there's something really wrong with that guy" referring to prince and his behavior that night.Whether or not you're familiar with this story do you think stern is right?

... & something is the hell wrong with Howard Stern, he's not one to talk

I was there that night...and when he first came out, they turned on the lights and nearly blinded the man, so much so, that he had to turn his head in another direction (the spot light was TOO close to him).

I guess you can't please call the people all the time, I and I know plenty of others who would have been more than happy to have taken Stern's place and been there that night.

I wouldn't want to pay money for a concert or show in the dark

-----
What concert have any of you attended with the house lights on the entire time the show was going on? No one parties with the lights on.

Yeah, he's part of a blood sucking cult, he's homophobic, sexist, he's not friendly (only towards ppl he's comfortable with), he'll walk past well known ppl without acknowledging them. he's screws his fans out of money, he sues fans, i mean the list goes on and on. Is he normal, no oh god no thats why we love him, but is he an asshole. Yup.

I've heard Howard's whole comment. It's not at all the same as Dayclear's quote. Howard did not say they should have had sex with the girls before he killed them. He was saying he couldn't understand what would drive two teenagers to do such horrible things when there was so much to live for in life...including sex.

prince is not an asshole, howard stern is!prince can do whatever he wants its his show! he put on an after show after his gig at 3121,and for a long time played with his back toward the audience.at first i was mad, maybe even a little hurt by it,like we werent good enough to look at u have to turn your back on us,plus i paid alot of money, not to meantion, time and calling out sick from work to go to his shows.then i realized its prince this is how he is,you eighter get him or you dont.thats what makes him sooooo amazing. he is diffrent,i love him for that!howard doesnt get him.prince doesnt need him as a fan.he was lucky to be in the same room as prince!!!!!

please

wanna turn this into an anti-prince thread?

for the record....Howard had no idea he was in for an event where prince set the mood and like someone said before, 3121 aftershows were dark as fuck and he played with his back to the audience, if he even played at all

remember one night he stormed out after 3 songs because either the sound was wrong or the vibe was wrong?

you think someone may have told Howard beforehand to expect the unexpected when you step into Prince World

Howard Stern can, and will, say whatever he wants. Don't go getting butt hurt because someone dissed your Magical Minneapolis Midget. Stern has always been a big supporter of Prince, and spoken well of him.

However, Stern will also call bullshit when he sees it. What's bullshit to him, might not be to you, and vice versa. Letitgo.
