I was surprised with the way Prince played Controversy
in recent Paris tv show

it sounded raw the way he did it during Controversy
and 1999 tour
I didn't feel the versions from musicology tour
but this version is amazing
he brought funk rock back in that song

I don't know about previous versions except the album version but this one was beyond funky! It was so deep and witht the dirty bassy funk and his voice.
And when he starts the second verse "I can't understand human curiosity," in that deep voice, whoa I love it. If I had been dancing there, my feet wouldn't have been on the ground at that point. Pure energy giver.

Prince on a guitar is like a great dj on turn-tables.

Musicology tour version was the worst

I downloaded it from the NPGMC. Prince ends the song by saying something like: "Don't you let nobody come up in my house and do you like I'm gonna do it".
