What is the crowd capacity at this venue for a show? Did someone say 4000!! I know he aint played in Paris since 1998 but no scratch that thought. It's absolutely because he hasn't played there in 11 years that despite the short notice the tickets will go very very fast!

between 4 500 and 5 00. so 10,000 tix for the two shows

the Grand Palais, isn't that the gaff very near to the champs elysees?..

yea it is

Finally two shows I can attend !

Paris is only a 3 hour drive from where I live.

There's also a very good high speed train connection with Thalys from Holland, Belgium and Germany and the Eurostar from the UK.

For those trying to buy tickets tomorrow, keep in mind that the FNAC website is only available in French and Google Translate can't help once you are in the secure area...

PARIS (AFP) – US rock star Prince has decided to give two concerts Sunday at a landmark Paris building he visited and liked this week, the glass-and-iron Grand Palais exhibition hall, producers said Wednesday.

Prince, who was already mulling a concert in Paris, on Tuesday attended Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel catwalk show at the exhibition hall on the banks of the Seine and "liked the venue", officials at the Grand Palais told AFP.

Titled "All Day/All Night" the concerts are to be held at 5 p.m. (1500 GMT) and 10 p.m. (2000 GMT) with prices and booking details to be announced later.

The rock star return to visit the spectacular glass and cast iron vaults of the Grand Palais hall on Wednesday with a production team and "is very enthusiastic about the concerts," the source added.

The Grand Palais can seat up to 6,000 people but the number of tickets available will depend on the format of the performance.

Prince Concerts In Paris This Weekend?
Posted in Celebrity News on October 7th, 2009 by drfunkenberry

Ok so hearing different reports about Prince shows this weekend.

1st was La Grange a Saturday public show and a Monday private show.

Other was at Grand Palais 2 Sunday shows, 1 public and one private.

Here is what I know for fact:Whatever place hosts the gigs, the 2nd show will be private.

1st show will be sold to the public AFTER industry and fashion people have been invited.

Lastly, I am hearing that the ticket price…….500 Euros.

Nothing has been confirmed by his people, only both venues and an outside party.

500 Euros? Man, if that is true…..wow.

That’s what I know now. Will let you know if it changes. Nothing officially confirmed.-Dr.FB
