PRINCE ON THE RADIO

I'm curious how often we hear a Prince song played on the radio. What song, place and approximately the time....If you hear him played please post it here. Thanks! biggrin

I just heard Little Red Corvette in Lansing Michigan...today aprox. 1:45 pm. dancing jig

But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence and
So the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same"

I never listen to the radio but we had it on everyday in college last year & they only played 1 Prince song the whole year - "When Doves Cry". Nobody even knew who it was confused

hi! biggrin i'm new here so i thought this topic would be a good way to break the ice. i hear some of his songs on the radio but not very often little red corvette was the last one i heard and that was months ago. strangely i hear more of his music in the shopping malls.

r there really angels? or r they just in our minds? it all comes out in the wash....in time.

I work at Dillions as a Deli Clerk, and they would always play "Diamonds, And Pearls, When Doves Cry, I Would Die 4 U". Now, I don''t hear them anymore. It's mostly "They Way You Make Me Feel" by Michael Jackson mad

Only radio I listen to is sports-radio(WIP-610). I tried recently to find "Better With Time" on the air & to no avail. This radio abandonment did not start with Prince talking about either as the mid-90's was a turning point in the radio world. Once I purcahsed a car with either a cassette deck or cd player I figured why go back & have been happy since. When MP3 players hit the market I still stuck with cd/tapes but now with 2000 songs in one little device I feel I got the world in the palm of my hands. It still shocks why hardly any of the latest release is not on the air.

There's no tv music thread so again on the radio one.
Last night on STYUCD, a couple danced a modern dance to Purple Rain.
Of course the sky and ground were all purple and dreamy and the dancers, naturally in Purple, did a good job.
