Prince predicted 9/11

I don't know if this has been posted before but it's rather interesting.
It was on Dutch national television, I 'm not sure when . It is a Dutch talk show with audio of Prince talking during a concert he gave on 23 December 1998. in Utrecht a town in the Netherlands.

The television presenters say that Prince is prophetic that he said this three years before 2001, because he could have said, "Amsterdam" or "Utrecht" for that matter. They also wonder where the FBI was and why they were'nt listening because they would have been tipped off. They believe the FBI is everywhere.

Yes he did! I was just listening to him singing a song at a concert saying 'Osama bin Laden gonna drop the bomb! and he sang that in 1998, YEARS before it happened. That's the one

The Bin Laden reference was pointed at the incidents he was identified as having previously been behind, when Prince chanted this during the concert.

There is no prediction about 2001. It just so happened that, after the chant, the band moved into the theme (played often live during this time) based on Wagner's 'Also Sprach Zarathusa' adopted for Kubrik's film: '2001: A Space Odyssey'.

Was Bin Laden common news at the time. I had never heard of him until after 9/11 but seemingly it was a common name or rather well know in America.

Osama was big news in 1998 after the bombing of the US Embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. He had previous form, and was linked to funding the 1997 tourist attack at Hatsheput's temple in Egypt.

So no prophesy from Prince, just political comment. I think P watches the news and is world aware, and love his socially conscious songs (SoTT, Dreamer)

1) Osama didn't drop a bomb. It was 4 planes loaded with human lives, and jet fuel.

2) Didn't he first say "Osama gonna drop the bomb" right after the first attack on the WTC in 1993 or so (the bombing in the car park underground)?

3) That's not a prediction. That's him following current events, and commenting on them.

Obama was already a know terrorist and blamed for a few

There was a bombing incident at the world trade center before 9/11. It was not large enough.

No he did not.

This claim is far to broad.
Where did P pinpoint the exact city and/or target, method, etc?
The US government allowed 9/11 to happen.
Then they introduced various legislation that reduced, yes, trampled peoples freedoms, liberties and rights, increased costs for security theater and useless wars.
Pipelinistan is still not free, stable and democratic and will not be in the `near` future. Same for Iraq.
Both wars are failures.
Don't they (US) learn that their `foreign policy` has been failing for decades? It costs way too much, it violates everything a sovereign country stands for and gains very little if anythign at all. It is based on simplistic coldwar views on geopolitics.
Within these circumstances it is not hard to predict that somebody will set off bombs sometime.

Partly as a result of this foreign policy, the US currently are still heading towards financial armageddon, seemingly without really acting on that perspective.
