Let's Go Crazy Lyrics... ...does he say "slip" on purple bananas or "look" for purple banana? It sounds like "slips" to me, especially during the second chorus. If not, slip seems like a better lyric, IMO.

How would you "slip for the purple banana"? That makes no sense whatsoever. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

Half the lyrics I've seen on all those internet lyric sites are wrong for various songs. but yes, the majority say "look" in regards to Let's go Crazy. | |

As a member of the DTT Lyric team, I have to say we're not just one of those "internet lyric sites". We work hard to hear exactly what Prince is saying, we debate, vote, and come to a conclusion on what is said. We ALL know that Prince's lyric books are quite different than what's on record (especially when Sam Jennings can't figure out "a groove of a baby's heart" and types something about rubber). | |
