The Rainbow Children and Lotus Flower disc

I've been listening to Prince since 1979 and have gone through all the eras and have critiqued and observed them all. Personally, I feel that The Rainbow Children and Lotus Flower(the actual Lotus Flower disc, not MPLS and Bria Valente) are some of the best albums Prince has put out. These two discs, I feel, are among his best career achievements. Musicology, 3121 and Planet Earth were all great commercial concepts and proved to the masses that he could still hang commercially, but Lotus Flower and The Rainbow Children are some of his best work. Also, I think Bria Valente's album is one Prince better protege projects. While he is present throughout the album, he's not overbearing. The same can be said of Chaka Khan's Come to my House or the Jill Jones album. And before I forget, NEWS also stands as one of his best projects as well. Finally, we must remember that he is an artist who can only be judged by his body of work, not just individual albums or certain eras.

Some of the best, i agree, mainly because the albums u mention, in my opinion, speak of a certain time and age. Its not the 70's or the 80's anymore its the 00's. But i miss the " Prince For You" and "Prince" and who can ever forget "1999" i LOVE AND ADORE "1999" !!!! ANd to Prince i add the following: i partied Prince!!!!! smile
