i'm not sure if i love it or not, but my attention was held through all seven minutes of it, so i'm pretty sure i at least like it!

Glad Prince is finally doing this. Dance remixes get songs much greater exposure.

I like how he touched on the "lolita" and "maraca" vocal style and then for good measure, threw in some maracas. And U can tell it's a real remix instead of some shady bootleg remix cuz there's actual new vocals and all. SOunds cool. I'm not much for the rave scene anymore...but I guess if I was at ne all jiggad up...i'd be ecstatic. It's cool...not what I listen too on my free time...but it's cool.

I think a club/dance remix is a step in the right direction, especially over here in europe... Still I dont think that this is a very good remix... Imagine what for example Mousse T. would have done with this track....

weirdly, i'm bonding with this remix. don't get me wrong: IT'S DATED AND DEEPLY FLAWED, but wow...it's playful. i feel like prince is throwing us a bone here and there in this mix, giving us little toys to play with like he used to in his 12" mixes (only not even as brilliant as those days). it's not the prince remix i've always wanted to hear, but it's a start. if this remix is the sound of prince knocking a cobweb or two out of his head and letting himself be juuuust a titch playful with his music, then i'm not gonna poop all over something like this. i'd rather respond to it with an enthusiastic "yes! and...?" with hopes that he keeps playing with remixes in the future and eventually graces us with something more fully realized.
