falloff Hilarious. I don't thnk much of what we see is his real hair. Otherwise, he must have put so much relaxer in his hair that what's left of his hair eventually just fell off or something and left his scalp pretty damaged. Nah, Prince is using other people's hair!

That documentary is really interesting and funny, have to see it! smile

That part where Prince was mentioned was funny. I'd love for him to talk about his hair one day.

This trailer made me wanna see this film, Prince reference or not.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

If your hair is permed by a professional your hair is not going to fall-out. I have been getting a perm for over 25 years and I have not lost any hair.

If P’s hair is gone it is due to male pattern baldness which was going to happen perm or no perm.

Just to add my twocents to what Venus said, male pattern baldness and the chemicals/heat he uses are a double whammy for his hair, so it's no suprise to me his hair looks a hot mess as of late (it really hasn't looked decent straight since the Rave era and even then it was probably weave).

Also:
Many in the naturally straight-haired community use "perms" to add volume and curls, while those in the naturally curly-haired community use "perms" or hair "relaxers" to straighten or loosen their hair texture, thus the word can have two meanings.

Article on perms/relaxers: Click Here
A good quote from the article:
This process which produces the desired effect of "straighter" hair at the same time leaves hair weak and extremely susceptible to breaking and further damage. One must keep in mind that relaxers do not help the hair, but actually strip it. So by applying chemicals to the hair, even if it is to achieve a desired effect, is never really to the benefit of your hair health.

So like I said, no suprise that P's hair looks like this:

Even then I think I see hair plugs razz

I'm confident that Prince can show you the receipts to prove it's all been paid for and, therefore, all his. nod

im only half black so i dont have to use relaxer, i have more italian looking hair so i just use wet2straight straighteners, jamelia did a show like this about hair extensions, actually that guy could have used that afro hair in the bag because they put it through a big processor and straighten it out

Well, I was doing an overstatement, but it's still not healthy for your hair. Of course, the products are way better now than they were years ago. But I have still not been convinced to get my hair relaxed, even though my hairdresser has been trying... lol

If you find a licensed professional which is easy you will be fine. The days of people putting lye in the hair are over. I always find it weird that black people getting a perm is a hugh issue but not an issue for other ethnic groups.

His hair looks fucked up because he has a bad hairdresser or he is trying to do it himself. It has nothing to do with it being permed. I got about 10 hairdressers in my family and no one has gone bald or had damaged hair because they are licensed cosmologist who know what they are doing.

As far as plugs go why would P have plugs when he can afford a hair transplant.

Aren´t "plugs" synonymous with a hair transplant? Because everytime I read about Hollywood celebrities who had a HT done the media mostly calls it plugs.
Are you referring to a hair piece, like John Travolta´s mesh hair piece?
Prince, in my opinion, still has great hair, and even if it IS the result of a hair transplant, it still looks great and it´s not that easy to look great with
a hair transplant. I guess nobody here knows anything about Prince´s hair except himself.IMO, having a hair transplant is totally ok if you have the money for it.Nothing to hide, really.
You seem to know a lot about hair...do you know whether olive oil has any beneficial effect on hair ? I know Puff Daddy once said that James Brown gave him the advice to use olive oil to keep his hair strong and Prince mentioned it too in one of his songs, I think it was There´ll Never Be Another Like Me.

Two years ago one orger posted a pic of Prince & the NPG ca. 1993 and you could clearly see a very receded hairline, it was a black and white pic. After that, the look of his hair had improved dramatically.
Whatever he does, he has the best looking hair I´ve ever seen on any 51 year old man.

I was under the impression that you got this look from plugs and with a hair transplant you actually have a mass of hair surgically attached to your scalp.
resulting in a more natural look. My family is actually in the business of being hairdressers so I am not 100 percent on any transplant or plug issue.

Yes. Olive Oil is good for you hair and you can find a lot of hair care products that have olive oil in their ingredients these days.

know that P has the means to do something to keep himself out of the bald man’s club and whatever he decided to do it is looks good about 90% of the time which is better than a lot of celebs.
