When are these songs from?

I've just discovered these songs...

Make Believe
I'll Do Anything
Be My Mirror
Poor Little Bastard (the band sounds like 91-92 era NPG... am I right?)
I Hear Your Voice
Allegiance
Ain't No Place Like U

... I was wondering if anyone could tell me when they are from and any history about the tracks??

Make Believe
, I'll Do Anything and Be My Mirror were written by Prince for the movie I'll Do Anything which at one point was supposed to be a musical featuring lots of new songs by Prince. That concept was abandoned by the people making the movie and the movie became something else entirely and didn't feature any Prince songs.

Some of the songs intended for that movie ended up on "The Vault" compilation that was released by WB in 1999.

Also intended for I'll Do Anything. Damn U seems to have been inspired by Poor Little Bastard.

Someone needs to add I'll Do Anything to the "Unreleased Projects" Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/w...e_projects

Yes, it takes a little more effort than that, but it's crystal clear the OP didn't even bother to do a simple search.

How arrogant do you have to be to believe that your question has never come up in the 10 year the Org has been online?

The Org should have switched to a system like StackOverflow, and have added ratings to questions and answers so people could build up "reputation". Then again, considering the audience I wouldn't be surprised that such a system would completely fail here, instead of rewarding smart questions and answers.

I think i read somewhere that they did a screentest and the response from the public was mostly positive apart from everyone didn't think it worked as a musiscal so the film makers removed anything musical about it and returned it as a normal film.

You're an asshole and need to get a life. This is a message board, I had a question and wanted an answer - simple as that.

I'm sure these songs have been discussed in the past on this board... so what?? I have a life and am not going to spend my time looking through the history of the last ten years of prince.org discussion.

Bert, get bent. You've been the same old crank you were 10 years ago. You're some faceless, soulless, vapid, cretin. You don't even like Prince anymore. You're just a troll at this point.

ZOMG they're horrible! Some of the lyrics from the songs are in the movie. "Don't Talk 2 Strangers" was supposed to be in the movie. Tracy Ullman says a few of the lines to her daughter when she's leaving.

I haven't been able to get the Org search engine to work. Next best thing to do if you want the right answer is to ask Orgers.

Big Brother 11 takes a LOT of my time. We're down to the final four, and the finale is the 15th, so I have a bit more free time. I love BB, but it totally consumes my summer with blogging, etc.

I've run a BB blog for this season and last season. It's a full on spoiler blog. This year I also added a Twitter and Facebook (the FB imports the tweets, and all blog entries). I also have a Twitpic for screen shots of the live feeds.
