Pretty sure it was Apollonia...His AMA's performance of Purple Rain was awe inspiring too. His Guitar solo in the end was perfect and had the crowd waving their arms together....it gave me goosebumps. His 87 MTV performance was cool too. I loved the jeans outfit he was rocking, soooo 80's, LOL. 1985, by that time Vanity left the Prince camp. Yeah, i'm pretty sure it was Appollonia too. Cheers for the response. | |

 I have never ever seen an artist rock the stage like that!! I was staring at the floor in awe after watching it.
Has anyone here seen it before or remember watching it live? I remember very well that performance, back in the day, people used to say he tries to be James brown... 
The performance was clearly a rendition of the Night Train performance i remember also that he had his vocals off... So he was just yelling in the mic the entire song, not really singing...  | |

I haven't seen anyone on here diss GCS or Larry's bass work with Sly & The Family Stone? Its simply resentment over the stifling conservatism and religious bigotry he brought into the Prince camp. | |
