Okay Funkers, This is what I want Prince 2 do...

I just received another copy of The Future 12" on vinyl. Electric Chair on B side. I have been a dj for years. I sold my first copy for $ I needed. I just listened to it. It still sounds fresh and up to date. It would b fab to hear The Future William Orbit remix to pop up on XM or Sirus radio sometime.
Prince please let these progressive house remix djs like William Orbit...etc... Turn your music Progressive House Style. This would be the fresh Bump (excuse) of coolness with the young club kids. I'm no saying be like Madonna (hich isn't bad) but the best ground breaking sound in years. Electronica/Funk only Prince can do. Not like Daft Punk or Basement Jaxx either. Not the NewWorld album either. Totally Fresh Material. That would be what I want. Please let the house djs remix some stuff.

I'm not a fan of House, but the Electric Chair and The Future remixes are great. The songs are still spare, but with more drive. When Prince does House, the beats usually sound canned.

Purple Fact #542: Prince can make a Weebleâ„¢ fall down.

Great idea buttcheeks! Progressive house has a lovely dark undertone to it and I'm sure professionals like Deep Dish who redid flashdance or Danny Tenaglia who redid Sweet dreams could make a hit or two out of some darker Prince tracks.
He just mustn't work with someone trying to break through but rather an established dj. I'd go for Deep Dish if I were him.

Pop nowdays is just too tacky for me. Decent progressive house with sufficient lyrics would be great. Just please no 1 minutes introduction of repetitive bars though, it's off putting and the track must be musically interesting from the word go, as well as lyrically with a progression of an altering theme throughout.

That's a necessity of dance records, so that one song can be mixed into another seamlessly.

Not a minute long though smile A good dj picks better records that blend and keeps the mix short. In my humble opinion of course. I can't mix, but I can sure tell when the dj needs to be shot. biggrin

I love Daft Punk, they have been infuenced by Prince for sure. I just thought the remix should sound very unique, not Daft Punk sounding.

The 1999 remix and Come on remix both sucked pretty bad.

Thanks for your positive response, I usually always like Club 69, Murk and any mix that says perfecto
