Reimagined Purple Rain album cover

Hey look at this that I found on the Xfm website.
Becks are doing a re-inspired classic album covers feature.

Sort of gives it a 1999 feel I reckon....

It's an interesting point that the artist makes.

I guess it's difficult because the Purple Rain album cover is literally ingrained in the mind of millions of people.

The idea behind the re-imagined album cover does make sense though - especially when you think it was sandwiched between 1999 and ATWIAD

Nope.

And not because the Purple Rain album cover is ingrained in my brain. It's because it's not good. It doesn't have the originality of 1999 or the art of ATWIAD. It's just bad.

I don't know... hmmm Maybe against a black light and a blunt .
