Everytime I saw him....he would zone right in for purple rain...he has actually mentioned how much he loves to sing the song too... You could actually feel his love for the song when he sang it. Best feeling to experience....so glad I was there....Thank U Prince, for the experience. My heart is huge, filled with the love of my faith, family and friends, but the actual beat of my heart.........that's Prince!

Unfortunately, I can't show you(maybe it's in the vault), but his performance on the 1992 D&P Tour @SCG in Sydney was underwhelming. I had gone to see 3 other concerts on this tour and every single one of them blew me away. This concert, however was the only one at an open air venue on the tour. It was organised at the last minute after the success of the 6 shows at the smaller EntCent(10500) where no further dates were available. The concert was the first ever held at this venue, which usually hosts rugby, cricket, and Aussies Rules. The day was wet so most of the crowd were cold and wet after waiting hours, others for days outside the venue. The rain stopped about an hour before he came on stage then drizzled on and off. He was obviously very tentative with any movement due to the wet stage. As I mentioned earlier this was the 1st concert at this venue, and the sound was teribble. This was due to this stadium having a hotchpotch of different stands rather than a singlulary built stadium. I dont think any sound engineer could make it any better, so with some of the crowd being more than 300m from the stage, wet and cold, Prince unable to shake it like he could there just wasn't the energy of the previous shows. There was a Huge PR machine behind the tour as it was the first time in OZ, tickets selling out in record time, and with the success of D&P pushing it along this sparked the interest of many non-fans. Many that attended only this show couldn't work out what all the fuss was about Prince LIVE. Actually in Sydney he was on the frontpage of the newspapers(days of no internet  ) every morning after every show he performed.
Anyway, he's human he has bad days, just like the rest of us. Back on subject Baby I'm a Star

I really like his recent (well since he dug it out for rave tour) interpretations of U Got The Look, i bit faster than the album but fonkay as hell!
