Yep, the 27th is the date. Time truly flies.

We didn't have a VCR, so I recorded the movie on cassettes and would listen to it all the time. IT's how I ended up memorizing it.

I used to have a boy crush on Wendy. I LOVED her because she was so spry and spunky. Hell, she was barely out of high school, she had all the vim and vigor in her she needed. I loved when she told off Prince about listening to their song, and even copped attitude later when her and Lisa were rehearsing. Such FUN moments! I love all the resulting stories about her picking on Prince or whatever through the Revolution years.

Saw "Cherry Moon" opening night at Knollwood Theater in St. Louis Park with Prince in the theatre.

And of course, saw "Sign" and "Graffiti" opening night also.

Yep, same here. Strange, when I saw "Cherry Moon" there were only 8 people in the whole theatre. I saw all three here in LA... eek

Well I might've been to the only theatre with wild applause after "Cherry Moon;" Prince snuck in the movie and people finally figured out he was there byt the movie's end --- and they applauded.

The defunct Knollwood Theatre.

I'm adding this pic simply because it's Prince related. I'm day 208 into my Visualize:365 photo project for 2009; a photo a day, every day, for a year.

I decided to go with an obvious theme since today is the 25th anniversary of the movie being released. And, truthfully, "I Would Die 4 U" was playing on Fuse|TV (the movie was on), when I was taking these pics.

Prince was in the Knollwood for UTCM opening night? Very cool. My wife used to work at Musicland and 2 Plus 2 in that mall. We used to go to flix there all the time. We may have seen UTCM there as well, but I don't remember. I'd remember if P was there, though.

Yup I know the mall well. I was working at the theatre at the time and Prince would come by on occassion to "sneak in" to a movie. I don't think he came to see "Cherry Moon" more than once there; just on opening night.
