What would your life be like without Prince?

I've always wondered that and to be honest without this guy there's a lot I wouldn't understand. Without him, I'll probably be crazy because I have some emotional issues and listening to his music makes me feel better. smile

What about you guys?

I'd certainly spend less time on the internet.
And, maybe my free-time and free-mind would be a little less inspired.
Prince's work tells you there is life and love out there and challenges you to go find it and make it better.

I would probably be listening to talk radio non-stop. omfg Because when I am in my car, I always have either Prince on or talk radio, I hate everything else.

I wouldn't have so much music memorabilia shit, and I'd have a lot more time way from purple websites, including my own little dog and Princey show.

Good Question cool

I think the music industry would sill be stuck in the seventies.

Imagine no Dirty Mind, No Purple Rain, No Get Off, No explicit verses, NO FUNK sad

Prince has revolutionized the music industry he sang about things no one dared too, he brought it ALL out in the open for people to hear and think about! (I love you Prince) .

MJ Would have had no competition
Purple wouldn't be such a cool colour
Pirate shirts would never have been an 80's fashion statement
Bottomless Pants...Well the list goes on

So without Prince life (For me) would be boring and I'd probably turned out to be like the rest of my Family (I'm sure they would have liked that).

So Glory Glory Alleluia to Prince and his creator!

THis question can bring about some sobering revelations for many people on this site. In considering it, some will find themselves staring into a dubious void with even more questions about themselves.

Wow... that's probably identical to what I'd probably be doing in my car... always Sports Talk radio, or the latest Prince groove that I've been craving.

But as for life in general... VERY good question.

So many Prince songs have inspired me, and the way I live my life. Some good, some bad. lol (But mostly good.)

I hope I'd be the same person. But Prince saved me from becoming a Michael Jackson SUPER fan... and based on things now, I'm pretty happy with that. wink

His music also kept me away from all things NWA. I could very well have joined a gang and had 20 kills under my belt by now, and had some wicked ass tatoos... like Love and Hate on my knuckles, and tear drops on my face.

Thank you Prince!

(Although you did cause me some embarrassment when I had to "smuggle" home that big ass Lovesexy album. If my friends had seen me carrying that thing home, that would have been the END of my reputation!)

my life was fine prior to Prince...

So...thx to the Almighty for blessin him with the gift of music smile
And now I'm hooked and I don't think I'll have a fulfillin life if Prince were to disappear!

I like it best when you post like this. smile

Well, Prince is playing about 75-80% of the time I spend in the studio.
I paint many many things to his music. So I'd say there might be a difference in my work maybe. shrug

I probably wouldn't be into music the way that I am. Because Prince does so many musical styles, it makes me want to hear other things as well. Jazz is a great example for me. So I'm grateful that he has been around otherwise, my world would be a lot different than it is now.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.
