No one knows but Prince which of his relationships were exclusive. With Mayte, I think she was the one who cheated on him, I think he really loved Mayte. I feel he fell into Mani's arms because he was on the rebound. I know men view sex differently than women do, I still think if he really loved someone he would not cheat on them.

Granted, if he slept with women while leading others to believe they were in exclusive relationships (marriages or otherwise), he was cheating.

Correct?

I don't know if he did that, I think he wasn't in exclusive relationships with either Sheila or Nona. I think they wanted to be in exclusive relationships with him from what they said but I think he did not it.

I think women have the right to demand an exclusive relationship. If they don't get it then they should just leave. I wouldn't put up with that crap.

Do you think he would want that?

You may consider him your best friend, your obscession etc but have you thought about what he considers you (or if he even knows you exist?).

Neither Sheila nor Nona strikes me as the type who would pass off an open relationship as an exclusive one.

I think it's pretty interesting that some folks on the Org have difficulty even acknowledging Prince's well-documented philandering.

Even joking that another woman wasn't "as tough as she looked" after alleging he was abusive toward her.

But, if he was (and by accounts concerning Sheila E. and Nona Gaye; not to mention the marriages to Mayte and Mani) in allegedly exclusive relationships with them, it was cheating.

I have no idea what Prince's issue's have been with these women, although I do know that Prince has "Love Devotion," issues. Prince is a Godly man that maybe fallen and gotten back up like we all have. Making the right decision in his last marriage is what he is currently exploring.

Love can be love...although how full and grand is the heartfelt feeling and for how long? Trust me on this one. I belong to Prince, My Soul knows him from a long long time ago. cool

Haven't you heard him say on Tavis Smiley that he is happy with the life he currently has. He is single, sexy and celibate. Although I would not be the one to know for sure. He does have a sense of calmness to him.

Exactly...I can see where Kids being involved would extend a relationship, although if a man like Prince has everything he needs, Love is all He cannot buy.

If Prince wouldn't want my love and be devoted to it, I would at this point in my life remain single after Prince had left me if that is what he chose to do.

Sheila was very aware of Prince sleeping around, I don't think Prince himself was hiding that fact. Nona said that the three years she was with him she did not even "know" him and did not give him a chance to know her. Their relationship was very passive. Prince said in an interview he loved touring and meeting new people all the time.

No, I have been a fan of his since 1982 and I think I have a good grasp of what kind of a guy he is. I am not taking his side but he is definitely someone who does not like being tied down in a relationship. He is wild, he admitted to that. As for being monogamous... love dictates that doesn't it? If he really loved someone he would want to be monogamous. He is only human.

Being mean to someone comes in many forms from cruel and hurting words to being physical with someone. I don't mean hitting or punching rather grabbing a person by the arm. You can be mean by degrading, taking advantage of or ignoring the very person you say you like/love.

He's got 25 plus years of playing around, as do I...He's gonna be quitting the lady charade pretty soon, if he wants the back of his head of hair to still have it. razz

Right, exactly... I agree: Prince will never cheat on you. Like I will never cheat on Norah Jones.

Anyway, you're changing the subject, on both counts:

Are infidelity and physical abuse "mean" to you?

Yes, Infidelity and Physical abuse are, "Mean," to me...I have in my life endured them both before divorcing. Our relationship lasted due to children and this man, (my X) being a player(Wanting Both) women, although, had we not had children, he may not have cheated on me. Regardless of the circumstance, I do believe that infidelity is weak because a true man will admit that he will stray beforehand and either attempt to save the relationship or sever it maturely.

Any physical abuse is improper. Some things may occur and easily be 4given, although if it continues, it is evident that this relationship should end. cool

It's finding it that is rare. Everybody is lovable, Everyone is God's child. If U believe that there is an Eve 4 every Adam, and U believe that with Noah's ark, "And Two by Two they came," than U can see that if you throw "True Love," on the ground as if it is a Divine mixture of NaCl, (Sodium Chlorine), in God's mind there are perfect fits.

Ok I have been married 15 years now. I have known my husband for quite a while before marrying him or even dating him. I was always picky about people I date and so I was not attracted to my husband initially. I think my marriage has lasted because my husband and myself think alike most of the time. We are also both libras, maybe that helps. The first two to three years of my marriage was difficult, it was an adjustment period for both of us, but we were so blinded by love we survived it. wink After those initial years it is a piece of cake. It is much better now than it ever was. Love is definitely a two way street. If it was just me in love with him, it would not last. If it was just him in love with me it would not last.

I agree with love being a two way street, and I realize U are implying that only I love Prince. At this time that appears to be the truth here, although Prince is a single man.

I love to hear of happy marriages. I put couples that have lasted over 50 years or even 25 on such a pedestal in my heart. Congratulations to U both...U have weathered the storms and are still together. cool
