Contest Song What does Contest Song song like? is it fast slow? rocky, jazzy? i have never heard it would like some details. desperate to hear it! |

It's quite a poppy mid-tempo to fast funk groove, very Paisley park late 1990s Femi and Prince type of sound. It was an instrumental mp3 download and 3 contest winners versions who added their vocals etc were posted on whatever the official Prince website was at the time (1st incarnation of the NPGMC I think). The winning songs were Dandelions, No More War and one other (name escapes me) [Edited 5/21/09 6:30am] Just somewhere in the middle,

Sounds like a Dirty Mind outtake. Punk/funk/rockabilly. Very synthy, and a faster tempo like "Jack U Off". | |
