Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump performs I Wanna B Your Lover Fall Out Boy frontman and Rolling Stone reviews critic Patrick Stump recently stopped by our New York offices to perform a trio of songs, including an incredible acoustic version of Prince’s 1979 hit “I Wanna Be Your Lover.” Stump manages to capture the same vocal heights as the Purple One’s famed falsetto on the track, which was the first major hit of Prince’s career after it appeared on his 1979 self-titled album

I liked it, guitar AND vocals. Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

Pretty cool. But the guy in that video shouldn't use words like "venerable" in everyday speak.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

Sometimes the truth can be funny. Glad I could make you chuckle today. Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

The guitar was decent but there was something about the vocals, I can't really put my finger on it but it was just alright. The vocals just didn't do anything for me except make me appreciate Prince's version. And I always thought Prince said "I wanna be the only one that makes you come running" if I'm wrong somebody come on and hip me to that lyric. I'm all for learning.
