Prince on the radio

My family pulled into the carpark of our local shopping centre the other night- when the announcer on the radio said- coming up- the new song from Prince





well, i made my family wait in the car for at least 15 mins- no joy.
Rumbling tummies made us go and do our grocery shopping


SO, that nite i emailed the station, to ask what song it was

Here was the reply:

Hi Tracy



The announcer actually made a mistake when introducing Pinks new song saying “the new one for Prince (pause)…the new one for Pink”

Sorry if it caused confusion as it was supposed to just be ‘here’s the new one for Pink’.



The reason he got Pink & Prince mixed up is that he was off air talking to another announcer in the studio about a Prince triple play that came up on Tuesday afternoon in the 1pm hour (3 songs from ‘Purple Rain”).

or just the classics.

Just last week I heard 2 old songs on the radio.
Nothing from the new.
