Prince & Donna Summer

Just a Quick Question...
Does anyone know if they have collaborated in any way...or even met?

It's a shame nothing ever happened in the 80s, can't see much coming of anything now. Donna's last album was very disappointing except for one maybe two tracks tops.

They have never collaborated together but they did appear onstage together. In 1996,Donna Summer, along with Chaka Khan and Gloria Estefan, performed a VH-1 benefit concert.Prince made a surprise appearance during their set, playing guitar on a few numbers.

Donna would have never collaborated with Prince in the 80s lol She became a born again Christian in 1980 and even stopped performing some of her own "nasty" songs recorded earlier in her career.

She would probably work with him nowadays, since he's all religious now.

I agree with you, especially about the CD. That would have been HOT if they had collaborated. It would be cool now too. I would definately dig it.

She is the second most underrated singers of all time, (Gladys, being the first). Donna does not get the credit that she deserves. Did you all notice that Donna also has a song called "Journey to the center of your heart"?

When iTunes hit the Windows platform, I went shopping for songs. (It was around the time Pepsi was having the contest with winners under the yellow caps.) One of the first songs I bought was the 17 minute version of "The MacArthur Park Suite". I have fond memories of the song itself, plus "Heaven Knows". They were just so awesome to a little white kid in Oklahoma City in the 70's. I was a fan from then on.

Thanks for reminding me of this one. I'm going to go listen to it. ALL 17 DAMN MINUTES. haha
