various newbie questions please be kind, i am but a humble newbie!
1. i read DMSR a long time ago, but i don't remember it much. i do remember two song titles-- 'Neon Telephone' and 'Holly Rock'. what are these? songs for the side projects? vault stuff? 2. is there a place where i can find a singles discography with running times? i have been listening to the B-Sides CD obsessively and i hear that many of these songs are edits. i was wondering how much longer things like Girl, Feel U Up, Shockadelica, etc. actually are in their original form. 3. i am called 'whistle'. are there any Prince songs that have whistling in them apart from Tamborine?  everyone's a fruit & nut case | |

The Other Side Of the Pillow on The Truth album has Prince whistling. Just somewhere in the middle,

I feel like there is another song that I cannot think of right now.

Neon Telephone is an out-take from 1985, 'inspired' by the neon telephone used in Under The Cherry Moon - A re-recorded version was released by Three O'Clock on their Paisley Park album Vermillion in '88. Wikipedia should do you right. The Hits/B-Sides collection has the 7" version of the b-sides, the 12" are longer as you say. | |
