My bi-annual "anyone have an update on The Vault?" thread

I've been coveting a copy of this book for years. Recently I heard of the possibility of it turning into a website. Anyone have an update?
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

No, but at this point I'd be willing to pay for an update.

"principedia" could turn into a similar project, but it would take many dedicated people inputting info and keeping it maintained.

Just some website that I assume is at least partially sourced from The Vault. It has a huge database of recording sessions. Unfortunately they haven't finished entering all the data. The site has stubs for every year of his career but the studio logs are only completed (so far) to the end of 1990.

It seems since HQ went bellyup, so did the plans for another edition?

Having a website resource is an attractive idea, but I worry (if that's the right word) about how long it would last. Websites cost money - hosting, domains, a huge investment in time. A website resource is great, but what happens when the webmaster tires of the site? A print copy can become out of date, but it's a resource that's always there as long as you look after it. And call me old fashioned, but it's nice to leaf through a book!

I would suggest whoever might design such a site make it accessible to archive.org's spiders.

I anually ask about The Vault on here, too. No-one seems to have any info on it. I wish I could check it out from the Library or something.
