So just got Prince on shuffle on my mp3 player again and "I rock, there4 I am" has just come on and I got 2 thinking that I hardly ever listen 2 the Chaos and disorder album, after hearing that song though I can c y sad
Which albums do u listen 2 the least? I also hardly ever listen 2 New Power Soul or Rave un2 the Joy fantastic, although I do listen 2 Rave in2 as I think it's much better than the retail release version.

I rarely listen to The Black Album. Aside from "Rock Hard..." and "2 Nigs...",I'm not that crazy about any of the songs on there. Even back when I got the boot, it was mixed with Crystal Ball material and I wore that stuff out but I'd flip right through TBA most of the time.

most of the 90's stuff.. most of the 00's stuff.

Heres the thing with me, after the 80's stuff.. I seem to only pick out songs i like out of the next 20 years of music.. The consistency vanished and its just a few songs here and there.

Karma Sutra I think I've listened to it twice.

C-note only a handful of times same with NEWS.

Slaughterhouse
The Vault...Old freinds 4 Sale

There are a few tracks on these I really like that make it in to playlists but I don't listen to these as albums anymore.

Everything else gets a spin at least a few times each year.

I just listened to it (clicking through most of it). Yes, it is bad - although there are 2-3 great songs on there. Serotonin being one of them.

Cutz sounds like a Casio keyboard preset.

Hmmm never listen to anything featuring Tony M either! Maybe if a track creeps on my ipod on my way to work I MIGHT listen to it.

Don't listen to The Vault or Planet Earth much either..or Purple Rain - don't get me wrong I love it but I know it too well!

As far as older stuff:
I don't listen to Graffiti Bridge. However, I did edit both versions of "New Power Generation" into one solid track.
Diamonds and Pearls (prince was a stronger album of the two)
Black Album (just because I forget about it sometimes)
Disk 3 of Emancipation (except "The Love We Make")

I don't listen to the following because of sheer boredom with them:
One Night Alone
One Night Alone Live
The Rainbow Children (preachy)
N.E.W.S.
Musicology (more bad songs than good)
Goldnigga (bitch, please)
Kama Sutra
C-note/Slaughterhouse/Chocolate Invasion/Xpectation or whatever

I still don't know, and don't care, WTF "props and pounds" is about, or how half that crap is considered "good Prince music".

Sometimes I'm in a mood to listen to parts of NewPowerSoul, but it's rare. I'm just not thrilled w/ a lot of 21 century albums from him.

Personally I think he improved from Rainbow children onwards, I was very nearly ready to write him off as a has been after listening 2 Rave and New power soul, I thought maybe leaving WB wasn't such a good idea after all but, barring Planet Earth, i've liked all his albums from TRC 2 now, none as much as his eighties stuff but i've enjoyed 'em all the same, I guess I grew up in the eighties and that music just holds more memories 4 me.
