Wow Bart, u have so much 2 b thank 4, yet u wake up with hate n your heart 4some u have followed a great part of your life. How crazy is that. U have some serious fucking issues that only u can solve. U appear 2 be a very lonely person who use the internet 2 release your unwanted anger. Prince is not your problem. U need help. U need 2 calm the hell down. U need 2 take that anger along with a few others here and shovel it up the artist ass that u r feeling at the moment because u r totally out of line. Prince don’t owe u anything

Shouldn't your fifth sentence say "Prince is not u're problem"?

Also, I think you meant "4 some1" in the first sentence instead of "4some".

You get an E for effort though. lol

And yet in the other thread someone claims the Target ad is always on TV. And didn't Prince just do three gigs on Leno's show?

The reason radio ain't playing him is because he ain't relevant. And the reason for that is because he ain't making good music anymore.

Too see Tavis pimping Prince's new disc just because Prince gave him $225,000 : pathetic. How much did Prince make from the recent LA gigs? Wasn't that $5 million? So Prince gave Tavis 5% of what he made from ONE NIGHT.

And in addition, later this month Prince is scheduled to be a guest on my
television show on PBS to discuss his CD and the challenges facing
independent music artists pursuing their right to self-determination.

Hey Tavis, I hope you'll also talk to Margie Cox about that subject. Or the members of The Family. Or the members of The Time. But I bet you won't because that would upset your "friend".

you're funny Bart. You give Prince too much credit. biggrin the article says they raised $225,000 not Prince donated at least that is what I read. And how did Prince make 5 million at the last 3 LA shows when tickets were $77 dollars and between the three shows approximately less than 10,000 people attended. If Prince sold 10,000 tickets at $77.00 that = $770,000 not 5 million unless of course Target payed him that then they would be the idiots not Prince or Tavis.

Anyone agrees that his performance of Reflection with Wendy on the Tavis Smiley show was one of the best 'live things' he has done his decade?

I mean: i love his vocal timing and phrasing on that version.

And it also seems that Prince 'felt it' himself: the way he looks when he sings that part about his mother, is touching.

I also love how Wendy is looking at him: somehow it reminds me of an older sister looking at her younger brother, and thinking: yeah thats right, thats it, you go boy!

Anyone?

Actually, Tavis has previously interviewed Morris : www.pbs.org/kcet/tavissmi...8_day.html

And though i'm not 100% sure, i vaguely remember that The Time were also last year's guests on Tavis' show because of the Grammy-appearance and Vegas-shows.

Yay! woot! woot! How cool is that?woot! I was hoping he did an interview with Tavis. as I am proud that Tavis is not just a television host or someone that just "talks" about societal/political issues, but also uses his celebritism (if there is such a term) to actually "walk" the talk and contribute to the empowerment of young people. Would love to hear Prince's stance on societal issues, even if he chooses not to discuss any political issues publically, due to his religious beliefs. Maybe he'll discuss the lyrics in "Dreamer" though, that would be cool.

Well, I remember saying in another thread that the Target ad has been on tv quite a few times, at least here on the East Coast (NYC). Why, what's the issue? lol

I don't think the audience is very large, being that its on Public TV. So the audience is generally older and with higher education.

Bart...

I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt before saying anything, so I peeked at your profile and read the last 10 posts you'd written.

Seriously...why do you spend so much time here at prince.org if you obviously hate everything Prince does? Isn't it a waste of your time? Not picking a fight...just genuinely curious.

It almost seems like you feel you're trying to "save" us folks from making the mistake of enjoying Prince's post-80's work.
