So who do you think is more in touch with reality Prince or MJ?

After the shocking Prince Opus...$2100 eek described by some as a jacked up version of 21 nights book plus ipod ($149) for today's economy where people don't have jobs, had their savings stolen by a jackass, and lost their houses.

I can't really tell... confused Help! sad

Jesus Christ.

Nobody's forcing you to buy the fucking thing.

Him selling a high priced item means he's out of touch with reality???

So I guess the car makers of Lexus, Merceded-Benz, Porsche, and Lamborghini are out of touch because they sell a product at a high price!!!

Just because most people can't afford their product, doesn't mean those products shouldn't exist.

You're not blasting BMW for selling a car at a high price, because Ford sells cars a lower price are you???

I'm still gonna believe Prince is the more sane of the two... because that's how I've always seen it.

But after the whole $2100 iPod and footage and such... I don't know if there's a just cause for that confuse
98% of the time, I understand where Prince is coming from.

But that's all in the music department.
It's gonna become 96% if he doesn't give a reason for the outrageous pricing for his last "collector's item" confuse still very confused...

Those car manufacturer haven't just started selling luxury items in a depressed economy, those are branded luxury items, hence the difference. Prince is not luxury brand product. He sells music not cars.

I am happy that Prince is still a reasonable and logical dude,
he has kept the good music coming through the years and MJ
has not really kept up, and I bet 2100$ that if MJ could strike a deal
like this one he sure would,it's a cool piece of musical
history that only very few ppl will have, I think it's cool,
of course I wish I could buy it but oh well I can't...

I'd never willing admit the reverse of what I believe unless I see evidence... if it were up to me, in any contest between these two, Prince would win every time wink
although I'd consider letting "Billy Jean" and the thriller video win something razz

All he's doing is selling a product. You can make the choice to purchase that product, or not. It's extremely simple.

I have decided not to buy it, it gives me no better value than what was available in the 21 nights book.

The question here is, is this an insane idea to market a luxury product in a depressed economy to his fans?

the fact that we got three cds for only $11.99 tells me he knows what's going on.

No, it is not insane. Because believe or not some people are still making money.
and this economy will turn around and those that are not doing so well now will be back in business.

Honestly, think some of you are angry that P continues to run his business despite hard economic times. Why How is he any different from any other business person.

Some people have the funds to purchase this item. God Bless Them for helping the economy. He is not the only one who has an OPUS and that doesn't make him less grounded or out of touch with reality. He's living and enjoying it everyday.

Look, it's not that serious. Either you will buy it cause you can afford it and want it or you won't. You are not anymore or less a fan. And what the hell does MJ have to do with this? Please we don't need another MJ vs P shit in here again.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I feel it is an insult to my intelligence to try to sell me a book which is maybe twice the size of the same book he sold me last year plus a ipod that I can get for $149 and charge me $2100. I know the intimate concert won't happen.

If I can't compare him to MJ who I think is completely insane, who else can I compare him to?

you're kinda losing me here. you are not being forced to buy it. you don't have to have it. the power is in your hands. right now we have three cds for $11.99 so that $2100 product gets ignored. Why not just ignore it? i personally find that price ridiculous but whoever wants to jump on it, go for it, as long as it ain't me.

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.
