La, La, La, He, He, He

I discovered this song back in '87 when it was first released as a b-side.

I still wonder why Prince didn't release the maxi-version when he released the Hits and the B-sides compilation.

I know this has been said time and time again, but this song was done at the height of Prince's creativity.

The edited version doesn't do this song justice. The maxi-version is a PHENOMENAL piece of Prince, and expresses true fun and happiness.

I've been playing it over and over.

I wish these days of natural creativity would come back. P-Funk gave us a hint of what the man can do, but this is when Prince's music was truly special. smile

LOVE this song!

i love the part where he screams "you've got 9 lives while i've only got one!...Whoo!". So much energy conveyed in that line alone, not to mention the rest of the track. Awesome track

I don't think Prince had a whole lot to do with selecting the tracklist for that release, but the edited versions of the b-sides were used in order to get as many of them on the disc as possible.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

AGREED! Can you imagine how HOT that would be???

Now he's a bit more laid back... but as recently as 5 years ago, he would have TORN this song UP!!!!

And New Position. I think that would be bangin' song heard live at a show!!
