MTV's Greatest Album Ever
Last year we invited you to vote for the Greatest Ever Video, and Rio by Duran Duran was crowned the ultimate music video of the MTV generation.

This year, we want to find the Greatest Ever Album from a selection of 300 international albums that have won scores of adoring fans since the channel launched in 1981.

MTV Base, MTV Two and VH1 selected 100 albums each; then motormouths Trevor Nelson (MTV Base), Zane Lowe (MTV Two) and Edith Bowman (VH1) discussed the merits of each album in a bid to select the 10 best rock, urban and pop offerings from across the globe.

The final shortlist is below and now it's YOUR CHANCE to have YOUR SAY on which album deserves to win the accolade of MTV’s Greatest Album Ever!

Simply peruse the list, select your Greatest Ever Album and press submit. Easy as that. Then tune into MTV on Sunday 12 April 2009 to find out the album that will be crowned MTV’s Greatest Album Ever!

As a little thank you for voting, we'll give you the opportunity to win one copy each on CD of every album featured in the channel Top 100s - a total of 243 albums! We'll also throw in a Nokia Comes With Music handset for the winner, as well as Nokia Comes With Music handsets for a further three runners up! CLICK HERE TO ENTER

You ain't lying. This list is pitiful. I did vote for the man though. After seeing that list, I knew I really had to.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I voted for Pixies − Doolittle. Nirvana's Nevermind and Prince's Purple Rain would be my tie for second place, though.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

It's since the channel launched in 1981.

I'm voting for 'Thriller' only cause the mastering on 'PR' sounds like fucking shit.

You listening Prince/WB?
