Just to get some idea of the value 4 $, can some1 re-cap the history of what members got for how much on NPGMC?
If I remember, at first it was $100 per year, no? Whatever it was, I couldn't afford it, but I remember feeling I was missing out on some cool shit (I managed to get hold of most of the music thanks to a special elf  Don't know if I missed out on vids, tho).
Then, what, it chnaged to $25 lifetime membership or something? That I could have afforded but no longer felt that it was worth shelling out.... I know this has all been discussed to death b4, but a short summary could help in assessing how worthwhile this new offer is... (In the meantime, I feel a lot like Supa, only I don't have any friends nearby who'll b subscribing  )"We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

NPGMC was a LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP (for the LIFETIME OF THE CLUB) which happened to last i dunno what..4-5 years?? T No,no,no...you remeber wrong. Each year had a memebership fee until the final year which then got you to sign up for a lifetime fee...promising 5 albums, tours etc etc. That lifetime lasted 1 year and didnt deliver half of what the fee included. | |

PEACE I couldn't agree more! I love these quotes where people contend that they're not going to allow prince to "make them pay a subscription fee." First of all, since when does Prince have the authority to "make" people pay subscription fees? No the NPGC didn't pan out so great, but like you said, that was so f*#king long ago it's not even relavent at this point. I'm excited about the new project and I can't wait to check it out. I've paid more than $77.00 for restaraunt meals that were a little less than hardly worth it, so I'm not even worried about it. Prince.....Bring of the funk baby!!!! T | |
