Prince could play the phone book.. And it would be hot to see live. I understand why there's all this hate. Most of the folks you see with chronic purple issues have never seen Prince live or havent seen the man in ages. And thats the problem. When you read and write about music instead of actually experiencing it. I read someone's post here who was rabidly malicious for some reason about last nights concert. I had to laugh at such vitriol as the person was trying to make people come out and stae "facts that it was crap!"
Huh? He tore shit up last night. And trust. When Prince does a cover version, it is an awesome sight. Especially the eclecticism he has shown in some of his choices. Yes he has done a few for a while now such as Lets Go. But he always adds new ones little by little. I mean Jimmy Eat World? Who woulda thunk it lol. Prince is enjoying the musical cannon of others these past few years, not just the Sly stuff. And seeing his interpretations of others music? You had to be there....not 'read' about it and scoff lol.

I don't know who would really put down Prince's music...some of us girlz can kind of just get jealous and pouty that we're not around the man and the music.
I think one of us left out feeling women should start a "Bang Bang Bang...what about us support group." call me... "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Word lol. Thye think they are hurting Princes career so in actuality they are still living vicariously through him. They have been hurt ages ago for some online stuff or what have you and its effected their psych. Online stuff yall lol. Can you believe it? Definitely not healthy. You can see the ones who are sick too. They stand out. They are here everyday countering people's posts trying to downplay and scratch out some type of malevolence. People get to play out their issues on the net. It's actually fascinating from a sociological standpoint. Lurk for a bit and see how they do. It's like being Marlon Perkins watching them go

No one with working ears can deny the man's musical prowess!!! It's his business practices that leave a whole lot to be desired. Take the other night for instance...
1. He went through great pains to hype his website. Every picture on Getty Images shows the website. Every commentary in the news and on tv mentioned the website. Yet when people who haven't been od'ing off his purple essence for years went to his site, what did they see? A whole lot of nothing! Think they'll be inclined to make an effort to go back to it? 2. He supposedly has 3 CD's coming out some time this year. He has in impromptu concert/Oscar party to hype said CD's and yet he performed a bunch of covers of other artist's music. Did that make people hoping to hear some new Prince music say, "Hey, he's so good at playing other's music, that we just can't wait to hear HIS new music?" 3. He could have easily had that place sold out. The reason is wasn't is because it was thrown together at the last minute! This wasn't his first concert and it wasn't his first Oscar party. He could and SHOULD have PLANNED it accordingly, if for no other reason, for the sake of his audience! Instead, on a Sunday, he had people lining up 12 hours ahead of showtime, waiting. Then shelling out $100 a pop to wait some more for him to take the stage and watch as the celebs showed up and were whisked up to VIP. Finally, after already spending 14 - 15 hours of waiting they had summon up every once of strength they had left to try and party with Prince for another two hours. Regardless to how great the show was, if I wasn't a die hard fan and that was my first experience at a Prince concert, it would more than likely have been my last. I've been labeled a "hater" for speaking the truth, that's why I changed my Orgname because if not being afraid to speak the truth to power makes me a "hater" then HatrinaHaterwitz is who I damn well be! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

None of this has any relevance. Everybody loves watching Prince live. And you'll be enjoying the bootleg IM sure if it happens lol. Bernie Mac was right when he said..."You dont understand..."

At the time, probably not but right about now as that adrenaline has settled down and they can't seem to get rid of that annoying ache because they still had to punch a time clock or two yesterday, unlike Prince so they haven't had the chance to rest and get back on their game. Yeah, I'm sure it's quite relevant. Just because "Everybody loves watching Prince live." does that mean he doesn't have to take them into consideration when he has his live performances? All I'm saying is a little forethought and planning, wouldn't hurt the guy. It's Business 101. If it does happen and I happen to see it, I won't have been charged $100 to sit around waiting for 14+ hours, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it too! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Yes. He did Old School Company, Crimson n Clover, that sludge groove gutbucket jam as well. No Colonized Mind though. And nobody semed to care. Nobody screamed "where's the new stuff, Kid?!" It was still jammin. You had to be there to appreciate. Reading about concerts are always much less then the experience.
