I don't know. Punch me, maybe.
I don't see what his music has to do with his personality/actions.

Now, you know that is very, VERY wrong Ms Looloo! no no no! I think under the circumstances you may no longer be considered a 'true' fan.... hmph!

If I found out he were homophobic, I'd be done. It's hard enough with him excluding people because of his faith.

He's not homophobic. smile

http://latimesblogs.latim...ith-p.html

Specifically:

He did not vote for Proposition 8. In fact, he didn't vote at all. "I didn't vote for Obama either," he explained. "Jehovah's Witnesses haven't voted for their whole inception." The controversy over a recent New Yorker "Talk of the Town" item, which Prince feels implied he supported the gay-marriage ban, has upset him. It's the first thing he wanted to discuss when the Web geeks had gone and we were alone. "I have friends that are gay and we study the Bible together," he said. He added that two sides fighting "only benefit the third person" who instigated the fight.

That blurb doesn't exactly help your "he's not homophobic" argument. confused

No, it doesn't. Isn't there a thread covering this statement?

I don't think "fan" applies anymore.....there's another word for it.....not a bad one.

What's the word?
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
