So Mods, will any official banners be available for Prince's Lotusflow3r site for fans? Just checking back to find out if the Prince camp will allow or release any banners for fans to promote the lotusflow3r.com site on their myspace/facebook/websites?
Mods can you let us know if you heard any word about it yet? I remember some of us asking about this in December and you guys stated you would get back to us on it, so I'm just sending a reminder to see if you could find out. Thanks.  [Edited 3/12/09 12:03pm] | |

that's going to have to be something that prince will have to allow by directly sharing banners through his official site. there had been some banners floating around but prince's camp was very strict about how those images could be used, so i think the prevailing reaction was that it was safer to not use the images at all than to court a purple spanking.
hopefully lotusflow3r.com will release some banners that fans can put on their facebook/myspace pages, etc. | |

Just checking back, because sometime in either late December or early January, some of us posed that question about "official" banners, and Luv4u stated she would get back to us on the issue, as she was not sure if Prince's camp would allow that or even release banners, on his lotusflower site or through another source for fans to have access to, to advertise on their site, and seeing how it's getting close to the launch date, I figured maybe Prince or his people would release some official banners for fans to advertise on their individual pages/sites. [Edited 3/12/09 9:48am] well, i know the banners exist. i don't think they're being released for public consumption...yet. it'd be cool if prince's new site posted a page where fans could copy and paste banners to help promote the new site and albums, but we'll just have to see what they decide. it's up to them... | |

Maybe the mods forgot to remove them? Just wondering. I agree, this way there would be no issue about fans using them on their own pages/sites. But I was just saying, they are displayed on that thread so basically, a new memmber may think it is alright to "copy/paste" and put it on their page/site, even though they don't have the code for it to link right into the lotus site. Wouldn't that still make it public use?  ....just sayin, Anx. No, I won't take any chances with that. That's the reason the question was asked in the first place, just to followup on that previous thread about banners early last month that the mods stated they would get back to us on. I'll just wait to see if maybe, as it gets close to the launching of the site, if someone from his camp notifies the Mods here or either on DrFB site, if they will make the banners officially available for public use, but thanks Anx.  My question had nothing to do with the banner on HQ, so please read the thread thoroughly next time. It was a followup question to a previous thread to the mods about whether or not official banners would be released to fans before the official website launched.
