Circle of Amour - thoughts? I'm a huge fan of Circle of Amour, as I am of most of the material from The Truth. However, I've let a number of ladyfriends hear the song, and all of them chastised me for the unrealistic portrayal of female sexuality it portrays.
Curious what the boards thoughts are. Mary, Claire, Denise and Belle

It's a male sexual fantasy, 'course it's unrealistic. More power to them. You may have heard of some guys at your school back in the day doing it, but I promise you, it's not something that most guys do. It's pretty isolated. I love this thread, very funny
Considering how many accurate portrayals of sexuality of many types he has come up with, it's OK to "fail" with a portrayal which is fictional and unrealistic. Unless it's meant to be a fantasy he had in 10th grade (Oh, Denise is leaving class! I wonder where she's going? Mary, Belle and Claire are whispering something...), then I suppose it's very realistic indeed. think about it that way, it's a better song actually | |

Hmm...I'll bet male adolescent circle jerks aren't all that uncommon. I remember friends of mine talking about that stuff when we were no more than 11 or 12. And to this day, they're completely heterosexual to my knowledge. I'm sure none of them would own up to all those silly things they used to talk about and do when the curiosity about sex was there, but the possibility of being with a real girl seemed nonexistent.
Anyway, I see there was one or two lyrics that I've been singing wrong. For one, I thought he was saying "4 hands in the place where the V connects...That makes more sense to me somehow. | |

I really like this song, although I do not get to hear it very often because I don't have "The Truth" (I have a poorly dubbed version of it on a 10 year old cassette).
